I run because we're in this together, no matter which way the wind blows

My name is Naia Connah. I've just enrolled in my university programme, Peace-, Conflict- and Development Studies in Uppsala with development as my main interest. I'd love to run this race to raise the important aspect of climate change in development, there is no way to study the subject - no matter which sub-category - without taking climate change into consideration. I'd love to be able to talk about this cause in class - and take an active part in the Run for your life and influence COP21 - in order to activate my entire programme unit, and eventually university. I'm a 20-year-old girl with an ambition to live a healthier, cleaner and more environmentally friendly life. I'm a vegan - which many just seem to shrug off as unnecessary - to keep this place a little greener. If I could be one of the 1000 to influence others by running, I am guaranteed that I, together with the rest, could multiply that number significantly: starting with class mates and professors. I believe that the younger generations will have most to learn, and eventually also give. We are essentially the change we need to see. It is us - and how we behave - that need to change, in order to see positive changes around us. Let's teach those to-be-lawyers and economics students that climate change should be included in everyday life, if we want to continue having an everyday life. See, when running for my life, I'll be running for your life too. We're in this together, no matter which way the wind blows.
