My name is Maria Bernard-Brunel, I am 35 years old and live in France, not far from Paris. As an environmental engineer I see firsthand the negative effects we have on the environment. We have to realize that humanity has to start taking action as a whole, and that the efforts of a few countries are not enough to stop global warming and irreversible damage to our natural resources. I am especially worried about business practices in many parts of the world, where profits are put above all, and environmental regulations are seen as a nuisance. Borders are not walls! Nothing stops polluted air or water to travel through different countries and even continents. I hope that we will all play our part to stop global warming and widespread pollution, I vow to do my best!
